IT WILL HAVE TO DO

My Friday night
plans
(aka HOMECOMING) were

RUINED by someone named Mother Nature!
She allowed a little thing called a
thunderstorm to happen 15 minutes before we were supposed to leave the house.
I guess that no one told her that
rain, football, and sparkly gowns do not mix together.

So instead of putting on a rain poncho, I put on my pajamas.
Not So Little Person wasn't so happy about the whole change of plans.
Being the Good Mommy, I bribed him with homemade pizza
(the Digiornio kind) and ice cream with sprinkles
(both of which he would have bought at the Concession Stand
if we had gone to the game).
He said "It's not the same, but it will have to do."

Since I needed my "gown" fix,
I turned on the TV, sat down in the recliner with my banana pudding,
and watched SAY YES TO THE DRESS...
girls in white dresses.
It wasn't the same as looking at the sparkly dresses
at Homecoming...but it will have to do.

Apparently they played the game in the rain
and the girls were troopers.
They paraded around the field in their dresses, rain coats, and umbrellas.

The rain continued on Saturday
& I figured that I should make some kind of a decision
about the binding for my mini quilt.

I decided to make scrappy red binding,
mainly because I didn't have enough fabric to make it all the same.

Now I just need to get that binding sewn on the quilt.

Until Next Time...Happy Quilting

  1. Oh, no!! Rain on Homecoming! Sounds like the girls took it in stride, which says a lot about their character. =)

I love scrappy binding. You made a great choice. =)

  3. Even with umbrellas and ponchos, I can't believe the girls walked the field!

    Love your scrappy binding!
