Domestic Diva (Part 2)

Hmmm...

After reviewing all of the color options

that my Little Person gave to me,

I made a decision to use:

Hunky Dory by Chez Moi for Moda.

And look what showed up in my mail box:

The RED cherries just stole my heart!

Now all I need to do is measure, cut, and sew.

(I wish that it was that easy!)

Domestic Diva (Part 1)

My BFF is a designer/decorator,

which is great when you

need help with your interior decor.

However, she cringes at

the thought of my quilting studio (AKA-The Patch)

being "curtain-less" for over a year.

(Apparently this is a major decorating faux-pas.)

So I decided  to make curtains

for The Patch.

The Little Person and I got out the paint

and we/he came up with some ideas.

These colors have potential.

Not much potential in the next set of colors.

However, it was a good effort.

Stay tuned to see what colors made the final cut.

Because One Just Isn't Enough

The problem with taking

too many pictures

is that you have a hard time deciding

which ones to post!

Since I couldn't decide,

I thought that I would

just add another post with

more pictures of  my

"Raspberry Goodness".

And look...Fig Tree is peeking out from the back!

Thanks for sticking around

for Round 2 of my photos.

April CG&GQC Finished Project

Some how the days have just slipped

right by me!

Lately, I just look at the calendar

and cringe!

Who knew that the end of

the school year could be this busy?

Luckily,

I was able to complete my April  CG&GQC project,

and it isn't even the last day yet!

I would like to introduce you to:

"Raspberry Goodness"

I can't wait to take down

my Valentine's Day table runner

and use this one! Seriously!

(I told you that I am running behind!)

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day!

Enjoy the Beauty of the Earth today!

(BTW-I love all of the Beauty. However

the pollen and my sinuses don't always get along.)

Until Next Time ...Happy Quilting!

Update:

After school my Little Person said"

"We picked up trash at school today

so that the Earth will be beautiful for God."

Then we played outside and enjoyed the sunshine.

What Do You Get...

What do you get when

you mix

MODA'S Wonderland by MoMo and Fig Tree

together?

Hmmmm...

the back of my quilt!

I think that I could see these colors in a fabric line!

(Hint..Hint..Wink..Wink if anyone important is listening)

Glasses

I have been sewing on my new sewing machine, Aurora,

and all I could think about was glasses!

You see, I have been wearing glasses/contact lenses

since I was a teenager.

I remember when I put on my first pair of glasses,

I was amazed at how different and beautiful the world

looked through my glasses.

Colors were brighter and objects were clearer.

I had no idea what I was missing!

So when I was sewing with Aurora,

I thought about my first pair of glasses.

Sewing with my new machine is so easy!

The lines are straighter.

No more fighting with the old sewing machine,

just peaceful quilting.

It is like a whole new quilting world has opened up

to me (and I haven't even used the BSR yet)!

I never knew what I was missing.

So yes...my new machine is like getting glasses to me!

Then after a few hours of sewing,

I looked down and saw this:

Ahhhhh...!!!

For Me?

Mary at Quilt Hollow did it again!

She found out about my birthday

(which is today)

and she sent me this:

(Notice that  my Little Person is helping again.)

All of the gifts were so very thoughtful

and so very me.

Thank you Mary for celebrating my birthday

and our friendship!

Quilter's Tip

Carol at Brown Quilts shared this tip with

us a few weeks ago.

I tried it out and I love it.

I thought that I would pass it

on to everyone, just in case you missed it.

Simply cut a small piece of shelf liner

and place it on the bed of your sewing machine.

It is a great way to keep track of your pins

and scissors.

They are held firmly in place

and you never have to go looking for them.

Until Next Time ...Happy Quiting!
