HE WENT OFF THE DEEP END {A SUMMER RECAP}

Summer
has been over for several weeks
and
now that we are getting back to the daily grind,

I must admit that I miss
all of those summer nights that we spent at the pool.

This was our first year
to have a pool membership
and now that I know
all of the joys of going to the pool,
I don't know what I did without it.

1. Everyone hangs out at the pool!
How did I not know this?
I just thought that it was some urban legend...kids play & moms chit chat & read magazines

2. Time at the pool= no time for cooking!
Since we would go to the pool late in the afternoon,
Not So Little Person was happy to eat a sandwich & snacks poolside
rather than go home and eat dinner...score for Mommy!

All of those hours spent at the pool
were put to good use:
like perfecting the breast stroke,
the backstroke,
the perfect frog kick

and

jumping off the high dive!
Yep...he went off the deep end:

After his first jump,
he came over to me and said:
"Mom, I did a really brave thing today!"

and then he jumped again, again, again...like everyday that we went to the pool.

When I was going back through my photos,
I remembered what Not So Little Person said about doing something brave.

It got me thinking about doing something brave today,
like
cut into my coveted stash to Tula Pink fabric
or
try free motion quilting Natalia from Piece N Quilt style.

I'll let you know what brave thing I decide to do today.

Until Next Time...Happy Quilting
