I'M BUILDING A BARN {QUILT BARN BLOCK #2}

I hope that everyone
had a wonderful
Easter!

Yesterday after my sugar rush
wore off
from eating too many jelly beans,

I pulled out my stack
of Moda Bella Solids
and started working on
my Quilt Barn Block #2.

{I am participating in

I really went back and forth
on what my next color selection
would be.

In the end
I went with my gut!
I decided to make all of the barns
RED.
Originally I thought
that I might make some brown or grey barns
but
I felt that it would detract
from each of the quilt blocks....too busy for an all solid quilt.

So, I decided to keep the barns red
and change the color of the roof
and barn door in each block.

For Quilt Barn #2,
I decided to go with a light brown
roof and barn door.

The quilt block
in Quilt Barn Block #2
is called Farm Fresh Flower.

Here is my version:

I am CRAZY about this quilt
and I can't wait
to complete it!

Thanks Lori for creating this Barn A Long.

Speaking of barns,
I need to get moving
because the group
is already on Barn#3
and I think that Barn #4 will be out shortly.

  3. And I did the opposite. I kept my barns red but all the prints are going to be different. My roof and door/windows are going to be the same. I need to get on it myself. I'm only making a wallhanging size so I just need 4 barns. But I'm debating my quilt block for my last barn. Not sure what I'm going to do yet.
