Progress is good!

At least I have all of the blocks

to make my rows.

Now all I have to do is sit down

 and sew them together.

(Easier said than done)

Sometimes I Stitch

It has been quite a long time since

I sat down and did some stitching.

Today I dusted off my

Valdani thread and started working

on this stitchery:

I am going to turn it into a small wall hanging.

It was actually fun to do

something different!

I think more stitching will be in my future.

(Mary of Quilt Hollow, this is for you!)

We all know that inspiration can come

from anywhere.

But sometimes, when

you need some fresh, new ideas

just give your Little Person

a blank piece of paper and

a set of markers

and watch the magic happen.

Here is the inspiration

that my Little Person gave me today:

Funny how my Little Person is using both hands!

I think that I spy a colorful Stacked Coin quilt

in my future.

Working Away

Sometimes when we do something for

ourselves, it takes a bit longer!

I started out here

making something for myself.

Well, it seems like life & everything

else has become a priority

and my project has taken a bit of a "backseat".

I had great dreams of working all weekend on this quilt,

but the weather was beautiful and

I spent most of my time outdoors.

However, I did manage to do a TINY  bit

of sewing for myself.

Here is my progress:

For now my lovely little blocks will sit

and wait patiently for my return.

Making Progress

This weekend I did a very clumsy thing.

I knocked over my cup of tea &

it spilled all over my keyboard.

Now all of my keys stick when I type

& I am waiting for my new keyboard to arrive.

Since it takes me forever to type,

I spent some time working

on this .

The progress stopped when I got a last minute

invite to have lunch with friends.

A quilter's gotta eat sometime!

You Know You Are A Quilter

You know you are a quilter when:

you are playing Jenga with your Little Person

and all you can think about is QUILTS!

How many times do you rip

something apart

before you start over completely?

I fussed with (i.e. ripped apart)

my block 3 times before

I started over completely!

What would you do?

Starting Something New

It is funny how inspiration can come

from anything!

This hat that my Little Person

made over the summer at

Vacation Bible School

and this fabric

have inspired me to start something new!

This is something just for me!

Nothing fancy just a lovely mix of scrappy

See how the colors in the hat inspired my fabric choices.

What is inspiring you today?

Until Next Time ... Happy Quilting!
